An independent valuer of private investments

Christian Mitchell is the founder and Managing Partner of North Star Partners, an independent valuations firm serving UK mid-market private equity and private credit funds. He is a chartered accountant with deep experience in the valuation of private equity and private credit investments.

Before founding North Star, Christian worked in EY’s Financial Services Valuations practice, where he advised private credit and private equity funds on the valuation of their portfolios. His work there spanned the full investment spectrum, from distressed equity to performing senior debt, across sectors including real estate, industrials, technology, utilities, and energy, and across geographies including the United Kingdom, Japan, India, France, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He began his career in Deloitte’s Audit practice, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

Christian holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath. He works in English, French, and Japanese.
